My yoga instructor said this morning, let this be the year to make mistakes.  By making mistakes, we push through and we learn.  So I am going to try to change the way I feel about making mistakes, I won't get angry, I won't get frustrated, I will just stop, breathe and try to fix it.    Why do these things sound so good the first week of January and then by the middle of January they are gone?

This is part of the Amanda Murphy panel,  This silly little 6 inch star block gave me fits.  I redid the " bouncing" stitching around the edge several times.  Then I enlarged the picture that went with the directions.... That's when I saw my mistakes, Got that fixed, and moved on
This is a square in a square block.... I " bounced" around the outer edge, then used the circle ruler to do the center.    I'm getting there, slowly but surely.  I'm almost done quilting this panel on my Q20.... I kind of hate to finish it.
My 780 and I worked this morning on my first Pat Sloan quilt a long.  I am doing her Winter Solstice block of the month....
Winter Solstice Block of the Month

I'm using all reds and whites.... I've got one more block to do today, stay tuned.
